Information & Guidance
- A Telephone Helpline
- Education and training programs for family and professional
caregivers. View our Events Calendar
for upcoming programs
- Referrals to local resources including nursing homes, assisted
living facilities and day care programs
- Information about home care (nursing and companion services)
- A lending library including a mobile library of books, brochures,
articles, and videotapes about Alzheimer's disease
- Our quarterly newsletter containing information about treatment,
caregiving topics and a Cape-wide calendar of Alzheimer's programs
and list of support groups
Support
- A Telephone Helpline
- Network of local support groups for caregivers, early-stage
patients and youth -- Caregiver and Youth Support Groups: Family
caregivers meet regularly at locations to share experiences and
information with each other -- Early Stage Support Groups: We
offer special education and support programs to people in the
early stages of memory loss and to their families.
- Private consultations with patients and families
- Registration assistance in the Safe Return program, a nationwide
identification, support and registration program for people at risk of wandering
- Respite Grants for family caregivers
- Advice about stress & coping strategies
